Buy a joint ticket - it pays off Visiting museums can be a heavy expense in the vacation budget. But it doesn't have to be. Buy a joint ticket for three of North Sealand's museums and have great artistic experiences without it having to cost a fortune.
You buy the ticket in the booking system on the VisitNorthsealand website. Once the ticket is purchased, you have 48 hours to visit the three museums. Remember that the 48 hours only start when you enter the first museum.
With the joint ticket, you get access to these three museums:
Munkeruphus: Visit the living artist's home, which shows changing exhibitions of contemporary art. The museum is located in a beautiful park right by the Kattegat, so your visit to the world of art can easily be combined with a walk on the beach.
Esrum Abbey: Visit the abbey, which in the Middle Ages was one of the largest and most significant in the Nordic region. See the captivating exhibition where the monks' lives are shown through sound and light installations and visit the abbey café with specialties.
Rudolph Tegner's Museum & Statue Park: Visit the museum, which echoes like a cathedral, and walk among the meter-high plaster sculptures. See how the artist Rudolph Tegner made the sketches for his enormous bronze works, which stand in Elsinore and Copenhagen.
