Porpoise watching with the Øresund Aquarium 2019
Join the Øresund Aquarium on a whale-watching trip and experience Denmark’s small whale – the harbor porpoise – in its natural habitat. The Øresund Aquarium’s big RIB boat departs from Helsinore and when it has passed the Castle of Kronborg we sail toward the area off Hornbæk Plantage, which is a porpoise habitat. During the trip, we look for porpoises while guides from the Øresund Aquarium tell about the fascinating little whale, which are getting quite a common sight in the Sound.
We serve coffee and hot cocoa during the trip.
There is free entrance to the aquarium on the day of the trip and the day after.
Remember warm clothing, it can be cold on the water even on hot days.
The Øresund Aquarium provides life jackets to all passengers. For security reasons, it is not allowed to use your own life jacket. The boat is approved for 12 passengers and 2 staffs. An adult must accompany persons under 15 years. Children under 6 years cannot participate for security reasons and the length of the trip.
If the weather does not permit safe sailing, the trip is cancelled. The captain decides whether a trip is cancelled or shortened due to weather conditions.
Price: Day trips – Children 6-11 yrs, 290 Dkr. Adults 380 Dkr.
